Correct use of silicone oil fan clutch
① When the cold engine is started, do not open the shutters. At this time, although the fan is rotating, the speed is very low and the air volume is not large. In order to make the engine heat up as quickly as possible, the shutters should be closed. When the engine temperature is too low, the silicone oil fan clutch is disconnected. It is not allowed to move the fan with your hand or wrench to see if it is separated, otherwise accidents may occur. Regularly check the operation of the silicone oil fan. Start cold car to observe whether the silicone oil fan is separated, whether there is any leakage, whether it works when the temperature is high, etc.
② During driving, when the fan clutch fails due to some kind of malfunction, just loosen the nuts of the two lockers behind the fan, insert the lockers into the two holes of the drive shaft, and the drive disc and the fan are connected as a whole , It becomes a rigid fan. The lock and the hole fit tightly (note when inserting), and then tighten the two nuts. The fan becomes a direct drive and then rotates together. Then try the engine temperature again. If the temperature drops, it proves that the silicone oil fan has lost its function and should be repaired and replaced; if the temperature does not drop, further check the thermostat and water pump. At this time, because there is only one pin drive, it cannot be used for a long time. When there are repair conditions, repair it immediately and turn the locking pin back.
③ Before leaving the factory, the fan clutch has been strictly inspected and adjusted on a dedicated device. Do not disassemble it for observation during use. If you find that there is viscous oil on the working surface of each fan blade during driving, it means that there is silicone oil leaking, and you should go to the factory for maintenance or replace with a new assembly. Be careful not to block the bimetal in use, let alone change the bimetal with the split layer. If the gasket is damaged, replace the gasket.
④ Silicone oil must be added enough. The standard is below the center line of the valve pin, but there is no observation port. You can know how much it is after disassembling. Silicone oil has been added before the factory is manufactured, and you can be careful not to leak oil.
